Wikipédia : « Paul Klee était un artiste allemand dorigine suisse. Son style très individuel a été influencé par des mouvements artistiques tels que lexpressionnisme, le cubisme et le surréalisme. Klee était un dessinateur naturel qui a expérimenté et finalement exploré en profondeur la théorie des couleurs, écrivant abondamment à ce sujet ; ses conférences Écrits sur la théorie de la forme et du design (Schriften zur Form und Gestaltungslehre), publiés en anglais sous le nom de Cahiers Paul Klee, sont considérés comme aussi importants pour lart moderne que le Traité sur la peinture de Léonard de Vinci létait pour la Renaissance. Lui et son collègue, le peintre russe Wassily Kandinsky, ont enseigné à lécole dart, de design et darchitecture du Bauhaus en Allemagne. Ses œuvres reflètent son humour sec, sa perspective parfois enfantine, ses humeurs et croyances personnelles et sa musicalité."
